Dattatreya Jayanti is, no doubt celebrated on the full moon day of Margashirsha month. Dattatreya is recognized to be the joined together avatar of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The Dattatreya camed into presence as the child of Maharishi Atri and her wife anusuya. It was accepted that anusuya was settled in Pativrata Dharma and this made desire in Goddess Sarawati, Lakshmi and Parvati and they told their spouses Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva to test her Pativrata Dharma by requesting that her give aid without any material on the body. All the three God consented to their wife and visit the spot of Anusuya when Atri was not there as Sanyasis. They asked anusuya to provide for them offerings bare and she was stunned yet she can't decline to provide for them aid as they were sages and on the same time was exceptionally committed to her spouse. Anusuya with her truthfulness and commitment transformed the three trinity into children and afterward provided for them charity without any attire. After at some point Atri came and he realized that the three children are god Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva itself. Seeing such virtue of anusuya the three God favored the couple with infant that will have three heads which symbolizes the three God itself. From that day the name of the infant was Dattatreya and the day is, no doubt celebrated as the conception of Dattatreya.
